Afraid of God's Grace (Jonah 1:1-3)

Pastor Sam Wells, June 25, 2017
Part of the Jonah series, preached at a Sunday Morning service

God's grace is incredible. However, we often don't want to show grace to others, especially our enemies. What keeps us from extending the same grace and love that God shows us to others? Listen this week as Pastor Sam begins a new series in the book of Jonah and highlights the dangers of ungodly fear.

Jonah 1:1-3

1:1 Now the word of the Lord came to Jonah the son of Amittai, saying, “Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and call out against it, for their evil has come up before me.” But Jonah rose to flee to Tarshish from the presence of the Lord. He went down to Joppa and found a ship going to Tarshish. So he paid the fare and went on board, to go with them to Tarshish, away from the presence of the Lord. (ESV)
