The God of Second Chances (Jonah 2:7-10)

Pastor Sam Wells, July 16, 2017
Part of the Jonah series, preached at a Sunday Morning service

The Bible tells us that God is patient and long suffering. His mercy and kindness often seem endless. However, He has a purpose in patiently waiting for us and His patience does not last forever. Listen this week as Pastor Sam warns us with this sobering message as we continue our series in Jonah.

Jonah 2:7-10

When my life was fainting away,
I remembered the Lord,
and my prayer came to you,
into your holy temple.
Those who pay regard to vain idols
forsake their hope of steadfast love.
But I with the voice of thanksgiving
will sacrifice to you;
what I have vowed I will pay.
Salvation belongs to the Lord!”

10 And the Lord spoke to the fish, and it vomited Jonah out upon the dry land. (ESV)
